Beazley Offers Significant Capacity Increases for Professional
and Management Liability Lines
Farmington, CT, October 06, 2008
Beazley Group plc, (BEZ.L) a leading insurer of professional and
management liability risks, is offering substantially increased
coverage limits for many of the lines it underwrites.
The professional liability exposures faced by a wide range of
organizations - including architects, engineers, hospitals,
technology and business services companies - have risen steadily in
recent years. To help clients confront these risks, Beazley has
increased the coverage limits available to these insureds to
$30,000,000 – up to a 50% increase. Limits for law firm clients
will remain unchanged at $25,000,000.
Beazley’s management liability clients also face growing risks.
Coverage limits for these clients have, in most cases, increased
from $15,000,000 to $20,000,000. Limits for Beazley Armour, the
Side A directors and officers liability policy launched in April,
have increased from $15,000,000 to $20,000,000.
“Our clients are looking for broad coverage with appropriate
limits, provided by an insurer that really understands their
business,” said Adrian Cox, head of the Specialty Lines division at
Beazley. “These are core lines of business for Beazley, many of
which we have been underwriting for two decades or more. We know
what our clients and brokers need and we are committed to providing
them with the support they require.”
Beazley insures a diverse range of large professional
organizations in the United States, including:
- more than half of the top 50 engineering design firms, as
ranked by Engineering News-Record;
- a third of the AmLaw 200 roster of top law firms;
- Four of the top 10 ‘Honor Roll’ US hospitals as listed by US
News and World Report; and
- Four of the top five global management consulting firms by
revenues.
