Beazley builds EMEA cyber offering with Vignancour appointment
Beazley has appointed Luc Vignancour to help drive the expansion of its cyber insurance offering across Europe and the Middle East.
Luc joins Beazley’s technology media & business services (TMB) team from Marsh, bringing 27 years of insurance industry experience including two decades focusing on IT risks.
He was an industrial and IT risk prevention consultant for both French insurance group GAN and Ace Europe, before becoming an underwriter for IT system-related risks at Ace in 2000.
In 2004, Luc joined Marsh where he developed the broker’s financial risks offering, including cyber risk and fraud, before being instrumental in setting up Marsh’s cyber practice in France in 2010.
Paul Bantick, TMB London and international focus group leader at Beazley, said: "The recruitment of Luc Vignancour really strengthens our ability to build our cyber proposition across the EMEA region both in terms of geography and product range. Luc brings vast experience and market knowledge that will be invaluable as we develop our breach response, risk management and cyber insurance coverage for mid-sized businesses through to large corporate clients.”
Beazley’s range of cyber solutions includes Beazley Breach Response (BBR), which co-ordinates expert, legal, reporting and credit monitoring services for clients. Since launching BBR in 2009, Beazley has managed more than 9,000 worldwide data security breaches. It also includes Beazley Infosec, which provides insurance, loss control and risk mitigation services; information security & privacy insurance solutions; and professional, technology, multimedia, privacy and network security liability cover for a broad range of sectors.
