Ian joined Beazley in 2003 and was appointed CEO for Beazley Digital in March 2021. He is responsible for the underwriting of Beazley’s high volume, non-delegated global small commercial business. Ian is also responsible for the digital channels, technology and operations that underpin this business. Previously, Ian held the role of Beazley’s Group COO since July 2011, and was responsible for all of Beazley’s IT, information security, outsourcing, procurement, office space, facilities, digital transformation & change management, and underwriting & claims operations. Ian first joined Beazley as an IT & Change Programme Manager, then moved to Marine in 2006 as Operations Manager. In 2008, Ian became Head of underwriting and claims operations for the UK & Non-US offices. Ian has worked in the Financial Services and Insurance sector for over 20 years, and has degrees in Economics and Computation.
