We participate in the insurance of approximately 13.5% of the
world's ocean-going tonnage and are the prominent leader of voyage
and tow business in the London market. We insure 35% of the top 200
oil and gas companies in the world and are leaders in many
developing areas of risk, insuring nearly every offshore wind farm
in UK waters so far. We have extensive experience insuring a wide
variety of cargoes including project, fine art and specie.
Established in 1998 the marine division represents 16% of
Beazley syndicate's gross premium written. The underwriting
team offers extensive market knowledge and provides a flexible and
proactive claims service.
Our highly developed knowledge of the marine sector, together
with our lead capability, enables us to provide our clients with
comprehensive and competitive risk solutions. We have a strong
profile within Lloyd's and have an extremely experienced team of
underwriters and claims staff. We are unique in the UK market as
being the only insurer offering all major marine classes direct to
UK provincial brokers.

and specie. Particular areas of expertise include the
movement of difficult project cargo, oil (both crude and products)
and general commodities.

charterers' liability, protection & indemnity, mortgagees'
additional perils (MAP), overspill, excess pollution and other
