For more than 15 years we've been an important Lloyd's market for property, from Fortune 1000 firms to individual homeowners. Today, Property business accounts for nearly one quarter of Beazley's total Syndicate premiums and we lead over two thirds of all the property risks we underwrite (by premium volume).

Both commercial and personal lines clients turn to Beazley because they know that we can provide a fast, responsive underwriting and claims service. For example, 94% of the admitted market policies we issue to commercial lines policyholders in the United States are sent out within 24 hours of binding. This compares favorably to the US insurance industry average of between 90 and 120 days. For brokers, this means increased contract certainty and reduced E&O exposures.

Catastrophe protection is available for most of the lines of business we underwrite – we've supported our clients, both large and small, through 15 years of natural and man-made catastrophes.

Although most of our business continues to be underwritten at Lloyd's, the world's oldest market for property insurance, our broad income distribution encompasses all parts of the world's insurance markets. We write construction and engineering in Singapore, commercial property risks on both an admitted and non-admitted basis locally in the US, as well as US high value homeowners risks (on a non-admitted basis).

Binding authorities are granted to experienced agents through selected brokers who enable us to access smaller premium business, both economically and profitably. Our specialist group is a leader in construction, homeowners, jewellers' block, mining, steel and real estate.
