Specialty Lines
Specialty Lines comprises professional
liability and management liability risks underwritten for clients
on both a primary and excess basis in North America, Europe
and around the world. Specialty Lines is Beazley’s largest
division, and we are a recognized leader in many of our chosen
markets.
The largest part of our portfolio
comprises professional liability for non-financial
institutions businesses such as lawyers, architects and engineers,
technology and media companies, healthcare organisations and
management consultants. In all of these segments we have a
strong track record as a leading market. We have been insuring
a number of professions, such as lawyers and architects and
engineers, since the establishment of Beazley more than 20 years
ago.
Our management liability book is also mature,
focused on directors and officers (D&O) and employment
practices liability (EPL) insurance for public, private and
non-profit organisations. As with our professional liability
business, our focus is on non-financial institutions.
Finally, we underwrite certain classes of
specialty casualty business on a programme basis and through treaty
reinsurance.
