Beazley’s strategy is to achieve a successful intersection of platforms and products that offers our brokers and clients access to our expertise and specialist underwriting capacity where and when they do business. We believe that a mix of international, wholesale and domestic business delivers straightforward access allowing us to add real value. This strategy is comprised of three core pieces – our North America platform, European platform and our wholesale platforms. In 2022 they represented 33%, 7% and 60% of our half year premium respectively.
We complement our platform strength with a product set that is focused on markets that require specialist underwriting and where terms and conditions and pricing are sustainable. We commit to these markets for the long term as we see that demand is growing in the sector and business needs reliable, high quality insurance capacity. Today our focus markets include, technology, healthcare, environmental, political risks, events and cyber.
