Industry Risk Overview

Public health, education services and social welfare have faced uphill struggles to modernized their customer interfaces, but many have demonstrated innovative means of keeping their services going despite extreme financial and resourcing pressures. Cloud technology has played a vital role, providing a needs-based solution that does not require public service companies to maintain their own data centres. In order to keep apace with the rapidly evolving technological advances in the industry, governance structures and policy-making models must also become more agile and responsive. Significant geopolitical events such as the conflict in Ukraine and rising energy costs will play a vital role in how quickly these changes are seen. Government departments must find new ways of working that allow for multi-stakeholder management and collaboration, as inclusivity and accountability climb the list of factors that contribute to public satisfaction rates. In a world where sovereign rule is increasingly prioritized over global collaboration, the benefit of infrastructure-related partnerships between nations and between public and private entities is increasingly important. The global issues that require the most urgent attention from governments and policy-makers cannot be addressed in isolation.
