    The Beazley Benefits team of subject matter experts have 4 ways to create accident plans for employer groups, using one of three Accident riders attached to a basic limited indemnity plan.  When paired with the optional Accidental Death & Dismemberment rider, these plans can provide employees valuable tools to help pay expenses incurred due to a covered accident.

    Accident Expense

    This a traditional “scheduled” benefit plan pays benefits for more than 25 categories of charges and services commonly incurred due to an accident; most benefits are payable per accident up to a fixed number of accidents per year.

     

    Accident Lump Sum

    Pays a lump sum benefit for treatment of injuries resulting from accident in one of two ways: 

    1. Pays a fixed benefit amount per accident up to a certain number of accidents per year.
    2. Amount paid as a percent of a maximum benefit per accident based on the facility where treatment is provided (100% in ICU, 50% in hospital, 15% in ER, 5% in urgent care/physician office)

    Both pay one benefit per covered accident.

     

    Accident Lump Sum Select

    Pays eligible expenses for care received due to covered accident, up to a maximum benefit amount per accident and maximum number of accidents per year.
